Always so beautiful John!!
Do you find the tarps helping a lot with weeds? I feel like I've been weeding all year! First year I haven't used roundup. I figured it couldn't be good for new tap roots...?

Thanks Chris. We purchased the weed block before our season start in 2013 and have used it every year since. It is the heavier stuff that is 12 feet wide. It can be a pain to put it in place and keep moving it as the plants grow. But we love it as it fully suppresses all weeds until it is moved. We laid it down this year in mid April and are just rolling back now. We have weeded a dozen times already this year and it has literally saved us hours. As the plants grow and we pull the weed block we drape it over a fence to dry, give it a quick sweep and fold up for next April. I only have 1 place for our little backyard patch and want to do my best to keep unwanted chemicals out and to keep weeds at a minimum as they bring moisture and disease.

Amazing garden! You and Kerry do a great job maintaining that ultra-weed free patch!
