Wow ! Just took the seeds out of my 3.70 , really dense tomato, not a whole lot of seeds around 125 but that’s ok ! Does everybody agree that they are some of the most solid maters around ? Any more solid and it would be a pumpkin !

What were the measurements..?..Domingo tend to go light to size...but that’s just compared to big zac...but agree...they are sLamMerS.

I think they weigh light; but the degree of ‘lightness’ increases with size and age. More dense at younger, smaller sizes.

Just put a picture up on diary ! Poor measurement due to hurrying ! So 22” being 4+ lbs means it is on the light side ?

Last year my 6.23 Domingo DMG had 880 seeds. It was still solid meaty tomato but can have seeds too

I’ve harvested a couple of Domingos, only around 1.5 pounds, but in one I had only about 30 seeds, and the other was not much more. Do I have a pollination problem? (I’m new at this.)

Cliffwarren I wouldn’t think it’s a pollination problem , some times seed counts just vary .my first couple maters last year were seedless ! As the season went on the seed counts went way up !

I’m still working on timing. I have a timing that works for the determinate tomatoes that I’ve grown for years. What I’ve found is that by the time I remove my Wall-o-water protectors, I’ve already missed the best blossoms of the season! So it’s a matter of adjusting, and a LOT more pruning. I have a plant that is nine feet tall with no pruning, 3 to 4 feet wide... great plant but I think the objective is to get large fruit.

I haven't gotten anything that big, but I found they were right on Marv!'s chart. 18 inches-2 pounds. This wasn't Domingo, but it grew the same way as my Domingo are growing. So it's probably related.

Hi Greenbud, Yes indeed. I'll probably stagger next years effort. I'd like to maximize my chances through the weather, and culminate with a nice tomato to take to the GP weighoff in late September. Now, for all the other changes...
