Why is if that almost all tomatoes that I have seen on the gpc info page are open, or if not, selfed? Is it too hard to pollinate them? I am a novice at this. Thanks.

They are hard to pollinate and they most often self pollinate.the pollin on a tomato flower is inside the inner petals of the flower up against the pistol that is why they self pollinate alot and of course bees and insects do the rest. It can be done of course but its not easy.

I may have a new screen tent available to isolate the pollen to one plant if anyone is interested let me know. The tent will cover the entire plant.I will have a sample in later this week.
